James has attended many of these cadaver days and he would like to thoroughly recommend that you attend as well, as he believes it will help increase your knowledge of the human anatomy and your basic teaching.
Dissections are with Julian Baker who is one of Europe’s leading experts on connective tissue function and dissection. As a participant, you will play an active role in dissecting so that you gain an understanding of fascia, its connection from skin to bone as well as exploring the functional aspects of each layer and their relationship to other structures. This is a rare opportunity to dissect and explore the human form in order for you to develop a truly holistic and connected view of the body as a whole. The aim of the workshop is to gain a deeper understanding of why your therapy works and will fundamentally change the way you see the body.
The anatomy on cadaver dates are on prosected specimens and are taught by a professor of anatomy and/or a guest lecturer advertised on the date. You will have a chance to view muscles, bones, blood vessels, nerves etc. and to palpate. All equipment such as gloves and other overalls are provided. These are not dissections as the bodies are already dissected so that you are able to focus on the area of specific interest.
