Garuda Apparatus is unique in its versatility, flexibility and precision of movement. The Apparatus Foundation syllabus provides a new and improved way to isolate muscle groups and break down motions into targeted movements. This training is 24 hours split over 6 days (4 hours a day). It provides the building blocks to the next level – Garuda Apparatus Series 1.
Garuda Foundation Matwork is a Pilates-based system that builds gradually. Here movements start first by isolating individual muscles, then move on to the myofascial lines they belong to. All of the exercises are systematically devised to bring your mind back into exercise while making your body the leanest, strongest and most flexible it has ever been. This training is 24 hours split over 6 days (4 hours a day). It provides the foundation to the next level – Garuda Seated & Standing Level 1 and Level 2.
Garuda Dhara (Chair) is that cosmic flow which inter links us to everything around and within us. Dhara is the flow that gives us our feeling of centeredness and allows us to keep our sense of movement within and around us. This seated workout simplifies the Seated and Standing Garuda Matwork and makes the more advanced repertoire easily available to the remedial client. A lot of emphasis is placed on energy work and certain aspects of ayurvedic massage and marmara point work are brought in to this meditative practice. Dhara is a very calming and nurturing process. It allows you to discover the root and the essence of your movement. It floods you with the confidence to move and encourages you to cherish the joy of stillness
Garuda Chakra (Foam roller) or wheel is the defining word that aligns our newly produced form rollers with the work outs we have created in opening, lengthening and strengthening our form. The word aptly described as the energetic wheel, allows us to challenge ourselves whilst engaging our mental and physical prowess. James has incorporated the Garuda repertoire and cleverly devised the movement material in making it as simple or advanced as the practitioner would require it.
