Season’s Greetings and highlights for 2018
Garuda Inspiration Day, Madeline Black, Yamuna, teacher training and retreats are just a few of the highlights that we are looking forward to in what promises to be a packed 2018.
Garuda Inspiration Day kicks off our teacher training program, here you will be introduced to our philosophy and movement disciplines. A day of work, play, encouragement and fun, an ideal introduction to all aspects of the Garuda method with a view to full teacher training.
We are delighted to host eminent Pilates workshops to help improve your teaching skills and knowledge. There is still time to benefit from the early bird discount for Madeline Blacks Immersive Body training. The ‘Immersive’ trainings are for experts in movement looking to advance their education, perception, intuition, and manual skills. Save £150 book before 31st December (limited availability).
We are looking forward to introducing Pilates Therapy consisting of 9 one-day stand alone workshops, bridging the gap between Pilates and Therapy for Pilates Teachers. Integrating best-in-class new advances in body and movement understanding with classical Pilates training. The combination of good quality movement, along with application of manual techniques, can contribute to resolving dysfunctional movements and in changing dysfunctional movement patterns that may result in injuries.
Yamuna® Body Rolling: Phase 1 the original small-ball therapy that uses specially designed balls in specific routines to combine the release of massage with the strengthening and toning of exercise, providing an effortless workout and a deep stretch. YBR® profoundly enhances any form of fitness or therapeutic practice. Yoga teachers, massage therapists, fitness trainers, dancers, chiropractors, physical and occupational therapists will find it indispensable both for self-work and for giving to clients to use between sessions.
Spring 2018 will see us launch our very own Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training. The Garuda Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training course offers participants the opportunity to study the Pilates method encompassing contemporary matwork and apparatus syllabi, as well as in depth anatomy, progressions and special population adaptations. This intensive 10-month course features small group lessons, individual guidance and support, lectures, classes, case studies, self-study and teaching practice. Student progress will be assessed throughout and successful candidates will be prepared to fulfil all requirements to take the internationally recognised PMA Pilates Certification Exam. This is a modular course and, if availability allows, you are welcome to book in sections that you wish to learn.
