Come and enjoy a Fathers’ Day/Family Day out with Classic Cars, a Fun Fair for the little ones and the High Street shops and restaurants – this year with the opportunity to see Sir Stirling Moss who will be helping raise money for the Rays of Sunshine Charity by signing autographs and in particular, 2 fabulous paintings that will be completed on the day (see below).
A special feature for this year will be the presence of Sir Stirling and Lady Susie Moss. If one were ever to put together a list of the top ten racing drivers of all time, the name Stirling Moss would certainly be there. We are extremely lucky to have Sir Stirling with us and his stalwart help, freely given, in raising money for charity, is so typical of the man.
The paintings by Dexter Brown are submitted as a Silent Auction on the day and will be completed by Dexter and then signed by Stirling. They depict two of his great victories, winning the 1961 Tourist Trophy at Goodwood in his Ferrari 250 GT SWB and his record breaking victory in the 1957 Mille Miglia in the Mercedes 300SLR.
