Madeline Black will lead you through traditional Pilates Method Mat Class with an eye toward cueing effective functional and whole body movement. Time will be spent zooming into the specifics of how to use the floor, the connections into the body from the legs, arms and trunk and long lost cues. Come and move, ask questions, experience the mat in its full potential.

Objectives

-Move through all of the mat exercises as designed by Joseph Pilates

-Understanding the importance of the use of the floor contact points

-Activating the whole body myofascia stimulating the nervous system through the force directions of the limbs and trunk

– Practising the mat exercises especially the ones underused

-Answering any thoughts or questions about the mat work
